After Alpha 6, work continues to bring ImpressCMS 2 closer to completion. There were some bug reports already, which will help us to make the next versions more stable and secure.

We are very happy to announce that a new alpha version for ImpressCMS 2.0 has been released.
This version contains some major architectural changes, which we believe will make this ImpressCMS version easier to maintain and extend, and more in line with the current direction the PHP ecosystem is moving on.

It is with great pride that we can now announce that ImpressCMS has reached the venerable age of 10 years. Yes we're teenagers now! The official announcement was on January 7, 2008 , with the first beta the day after - today 10 years ago.

The newest beta of ImpressCMS 1.3.11 is now available for download and test on your developments servers. 1.3.11 will be a bugfix release.

When I look at our Github repository, there are many very old branches that really have no added value in being there anymore. I will start removing them by the end of the week.
